Connect the MCP server

One-click connect

On API keys, under Connect an assistant, choose Add to Cursor or Add to VS Code. Your assistant opens, asks you to sign in to EmailPal, and shows a screen where you choose Read only or Read and write. There is no key to create or paste.

For Claude Code, copy the command from the same card. For Claude or ChatGPT, open Settings → Connectors, add a custom connector, and paste the server URL https://www.emailpal.io/mcp.

Every connected app is listed under Connected apps on the same page, with when it was last used. Disconnect stops it immediately. Only account owners and admins can connect an app, and a connection can never download mailbox passwords or top up the balance: those need an admin API key you create yourself.

Config

If your assistant cannot sign in, run the server locally with an API key instead. Create a key first. On API keys the dashboard copies a ready JSON block for Cursor (.cursor/mcp.json) or Claude Desktop (claude_desktop_config.json). The shape is:

Remove the read-only flag when the agent should be allowed to provision, claim pre-warmed inventory, send, or run campaigns.

Which key scope to use

A tool can only do what the key can do. Use a read key to let an assistant inspect domains, warming, campaign results and replies. Use a write key when it should change things, including creating, launching, pausing and resuming campaigns. Exporting mailbox passwords and topping up the domain balance need admin.

Launching or resuming a campaign sends real email, so those two tools are marked destructive, and a good client will ask you before it runs them.

How many tools are there?

75, with names prefixed emailpal_. They cover domains, pre-warmed inboxes, mailboxes, warming, the inbox, compliance and jobs, plus campaigns and their sequences, leads and statuses, replies, the pipeline and tasks. Does MCP bypass billing?

No. A claim or domain purchase through MCP charges the same as the dashboard.

Does MCP bypass the launch checks?

No. launch_campaign runs the same pre-flight as the dashboard button and refuses to start a campaign with blockers. campaign_preflight shows the checklist without launching.
