# Enable, pause or resume warming

> How to turn EmailPal warming on or off per mailbox, what pause does to the ramp, and how Slow-Ramp differs from paused.

## Enable

From **Warming** or a mailbox page, turn warming on. $0.60/mo starts on that inbox. Pre-warmed leases already have it on; leave it on.

## Pause and resume

Pause stops the conversations. Resume continues from a colder state than "steady" — do not pause for a long weekend and expect campaign-ready to still be true.

API/MCP expose the same enable/pause/resume controls.

## Slow-Ramp vs paused

**Paused** is you. **Slow-Ramp / blocked** is EmailPal holding volume because placement collapsed or a bounce rule fired. Fix the cause (list quality, copy, DNS) before you fight the hold.

## FAQs

### Can I warm only on weekdays?

Weekend throttling is already part of the engine. You do not have to remember to pause on Friday.

### Does pause stop the $0.60?

Billing follows whether the inbox is enrolled in warming for the period. If you intend to stop paying, turn warming off, not only pause it for an afternoon.
