## If EmailPal already hosts the domain

1. Open the domain.
2. Create mailboxes (names you choose). [Create mailboxes](/help/create-mailboxes).
3. Export SMTP/IMAP. [SMTP and IMAP credentials](/help/smtp-imap-credentials).
4. Turn warming on. [Enable, pause or resume warming](/help/enable-pause-or-resume-warming).
5. Stay in the [2–5 per domain](/help/how-many-mailboxes-per-domain) range.

API: `POST /api/public/v1/mailboxes`. MCP can do the same.

## If the domain still lives at Namecheap / Cloudflare / Google

[Bring your own domain](/help/bring-your-own-domain). Delegate or copy records, wait until SPF/DKIM/DMARC/MX are green, then provision.

## If this is a pre-warmed lease

You cannot add mailboxes. The listing is the set. Claim another domain or use a domain you own. [Pre-warmed Mailboxes by EmailPal](/help/pre-warmed-inboxes-by-emailpal).

## FAQs

### How long until new mailboxes can send?

They are fresh. Warm them. [When is a mailbox ready to send?](/help/when-is-a-mailbox-ready-to-send).

### Does each new mailbox cost $1?

After you exceed the mailboxes included in the plan, yes — $1/mo overage, plus $0.60 if warming is on. [Pricing, plans and mailbox overages](/help/pricing-plans-and-mailbox-overages). Pre-warmed leases do not count against that allowance.
